Year 2 creating a bird picture from rubbings.
Great pictures of today’s Danehill Discovery Day. It was lovely seeing everyone playing nicely with each other’s games. For the second part of the morning the children made their own games which they then played together.
Just a reminder that it is Danehill Discovery Day tomorrow and the children can bring in board games to play.
Also if anyone is available to help with walking up to the church, I will be very grateful.
Thank you, see you tomorrow 🙂
Yesterday we enjoyed being Autumn detectives, not even the rain stopped us on our scavenging hunt!
Maths – We are continuing with addition and subtraction to really secure our knowledge. Year 2 will be trying to solve missing box problems.
English – The text we will be looking at is ‘I will never eat a tomato’ by Lauren Child. The class will be using descriptive language to try and persuade someone to eat healthy foods. Year 2 will be taught how to use similes.
As well as the above we will be learning our Harvest Festival Poem in preparation for Friday afternoon.
Tomorrow’s OWL is for Year 1.

The theme is Christmas in Wealden/Parliament.
If you would like to enter this competition, the entry needs to be on an A5 size of paper and in colour. The child’s name, age and school need to be on the back. Please can we have the entries before Friday 21st October so we can send them off over half term.
The winners of the competition will have a tour of the House of Parliament.
We have had a great afternoon making fruit smoothies. We all enjoyed choosing our own fruits to put into our smoothie.
